Car set ablaze by Nagpur Youth Cong. activists protesting against ED enquiry of Sonia Gandhi
Sonia Gandhi questioned for six hours by ED, summoned again on Wednesday
Nagpur: The Youth Congress activists on Tuesday set ablaze a four-wheeler in Maharashtra’s Nagpur to protest against the questioning of Congress president Sonia Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate (ED)).
The silent protest staged by Youth Congress leaders and workers to oppose Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) action against Sonia Gandhi suddenly turned violent when some members of Youth Congress set a WagonR car on fire at GPO square here.
Sonia Gandhi appeared again before the ED on Tuesday for the second round of questioning linked to the National Herald money laundering case.
To oppose this action, activists of Youth Congress burned a WagonR car, while senior Congress leaders staged a “Satyagraha” protest at Samvidhan Square here.
Acting swiftly on the input, the fire Brigade rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
Police detained around 20 youth Congress leaders. (UNI)
