2 US planes collide Mid-air in North Vegas, 4 killed
Washington: At least four people were killed when two general aviation aircraft collided at North Las Vegas airport, according to aviation officials.
CBS News quoted Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as saying that a Piper PA-46 was preparing to land when it collided with a Cessna 172 on Sunday at approximately 12 pm (local time).
The FAA said, “The Piper crashed into a field east of Runway 30-Right and the Cessna fell into a water retention pond. Two people were aboard each aircraft.”
There were no survivors in the incident, the Clark County Department of Aviation said.
An investigation into the cause of the crash has been launched by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board. (UNI)
