BJP complains to Harsh Vardhan against Shiv Sena

Thane, Jun 30 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party, Thane has on Wednesday urged Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan to prevent politicizing of the mass Covid-19 vaccination drive being done by Shiv Sena for petty partisan ends.
Observing that conduct of Vaccination Camps as Shiv Sena offices completely violates Centre’s guide lines and if this is allowed Shiv Sena may discriminate between its supporters and non-supporters, depriving thousands of innocent citizens.
A memorandum to this effect was submitted to Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan today by Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe when the later called on him on Wednesday.
An official release by the BJP Thane district unit stated that the Party memorandum further says that local Municipal Corporation is allowing its machinery to be used by one political party simply because Shiv Sena is ruling in Thane. Dr Harsh Vardhan has assured that he will write to Maharashtra Govt and stress that such politicization for partisan ends is just not acceptable and if this continues, it will adversely impact on the entire vaccination drive. ‘Vaccination is for all and not for only voters of any particular political party’, he said.
