Tele consultation services in HP rated amongst top states: State Govt
Hamirpur reports 5 deaths, 288 recoveries
Half of COVID deaths occurred within 24 hours of hospitalization or before in HP
Shimla & Hamirpur (HP), May 26 (UNI) Five people lost their lives due to COVID and 288 older patients were cured/recovered by Tuesday night.
Besides, 133 new cases were also reported by the night, according to CMO, Hamirpur, Dr. RK Agnihotri.
He Today said that total number of deaths in the district had also gone up to 211, where as the number of active cases have come down to 1,663.
The CMO said that there were 12,973 total positive cases in the district as on May 25th.
He claimed that the work for the vaccination and sampling against COVID-19 was going on in full swing in the district.
Tele consultation services rated best
The telemedicine services launched recently have proved to be a big boon for the patients in Himachal Pradesh. Claiming this today, an official spokesperson said that Himachal Pradesh was amongst the top States to provide services through telemedicine.
He said that the recently added AIIMS Bilaspur, e-Sanjeevani OPD service attended to 60 patients on their opening day on 24th May 2021. The Government spokesperson informed that there has been an increase in the total consultations in e-Sanjeevani OPD this month.
The district wise performance of the said service reflects that district Kangra has performed the best in the State till now.
He appealed to the public to avail the service of e-Sanjeevani OPD from the safe ambience of their homes in this pandemic and curfew.
While informing about e-Sanjeevani Consultations in the State, the Spokesperson said that 80,062 consultations have been done till date. The maximum consultations have been done through Health and Wellness Centers situated in Solan District.
He further informed that 36,702 consultations have been done for Non-Specialist treatments, 16,001 for Medical treatments, 7914 for pediatrics, 7586 for Obstetrics & Gynecology, 4907 for psychiatry etc.
The Medical officers at PHC have supported HWCs for 23,811 consultations, he said.
The State is in the process of establishing another specialist hub at Dr RKGMC Hamirpur, the spokesman said.
