55 pc population received 2nd Covid vaccine in HP
Shimla, Oct 19 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday said that 55.6 per cent of its total population have received at least two doses of COVID vaccine while cent per cent state population have got first dose of the vaccine.
The spokesperson said that effective COVID-19 vaccination played a important role to control the COVID-19 pandemic in the State to a large extent.
Around 30,71,853 people have been given the 2nd dose of vaccine so far in the state out of 55 lakh 23 thousand eligible people in the state.
Spokesperson said that under the Covid-19 vaccination campaign, Kinnaur figured top district in Country by achieving the immunization target of the eligible population for the 2nd dose.
District Lahaul-Spiti is 2nd by achieving 82.1 per cent target while district Solan remains third by achieving 73.6 percent target.
He said that district Bilaspur Administered 64.7 percent, followed by Chamba 42.5 percent, Hamirpur 56.7 percent, Kangra 51.1 percent, Kullu 53.6 percent, Mandi 51.8 percent, Shimla 60.9 pc, Sirmaur 44 percent and District Una 61.3 percent.
The spokesperson has urged all the eligible people who have received the first dose to get their second dose.
He also urged people to follow COVID-appropriate behavior even after getting inoculation.
