28 more Covid-19 cases in Hamirpur

Hamirpur (HP), Nov 1(UNI) Twenty-eight new Covid-19 cases were found in HP’s Hamirpur district on Monday, the first day of the month of November. No death was reported from any part of the district from the disease.

These cases included a dozen children and youth hailing from different parts of the district and they were the primary contacts of the old positive cases.
A spokesman of the Health Department told UNI that out of 612 samples that were tested for the virus; out of which 28 were found to be positive.
He said that the number of active cases in the district stood at 352 as 26 older cases recovered today.
The spokesman said that the number of total confirmed cases in the district has risen to 17,407 and cured cases stand at 16,767.
Meanwhile, the health department has started work on a war footing for the vaccinating those who are yet to receive the second dose of the vaccine.
