Mohali Admin Organises Run For Democracy; Target 80 p.c. Turn-up

SAS Nagar:  In  its continueed endeavour to motivate all Young, Old and reluctant voters and achieve maximum voter turn up on V-Day, June 01, Mohali administration led by DC Aashika Jain organised a Women’s Marathon today from Sports Complex, Sector 78. About 400 women voters participated in the Marathon and supported the endeavours of Mohali Admin to achieve a minimum  target of 80 per cent voting for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024 on June 1. MC Mohali Commissioner Mrs Navjot Kaur, Joint Commissioner Kiran Sharma and SDM Mohali Depankar Garg flag off the Marathon.

The first 100 winners will be provided with Movie tickets in the  coming days as an incentive for participation in the event today.

The students of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sohana performed folk Dance Gidha by reciting couplets on Festival of Democracy. State Bank of India led by Regional Manager Rohit Kakkar and District Lead Bank Manager MK Bhardwaj arranged refreshments.                                              (inputs-DPR Mohali)
