Indian sand artist Sudarsan curates FIFA WC trophy on Puri beach
Padma awardee world famous artist has created thousands of sand images on Puri beach over the years
Puri: World renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Sunday created an eight feet high sand sculpture of the FIFA World cup trophy at Odisha’s Puri beach with installation of 1350 coins from 32 participating countries including India.
It had the message “Good Luck”,
Pattnaik said he had created the sand sculpture by using around five tons of sand and at the backdrop of the trophy he created a football.
FIFA World Cup 2022 will be held across Qatar from November 20 to December 18. The Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022 will see 32 teams from five confederations compete for the biggest prize in football. As many as 64 matches will be played during the course of 29 days.
Pattnaik, a Padma awardee artist, has participated in more than 60 International sand art festivals and competitions around the World and won many prizes for the country. (UNI)
