Apni Party wants cordial relations with Delhi: Altaf Bukhari

Srinagar: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Sunday said that his party’s political motive is not to have any conflict with centre but to get removed if any confusion or difficulty courteously,
Bukhari was speaking to the media persons on the side lines of his party workers convention in Srinagar, on the non-local voters’ issues, raised following Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) recent announcement that 25 lakh non-locals can vote during the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have clarified the confusion created by the CEO’s statement. “I have thanked the PM and HM for clarifying the confusion among the political leaders and people of Jammu and Kashmir Yesterday”, Bukhari said.
He said our politics is not to have any conflict with Delhi. “Urge Delhi with folded hands that we have confusion or any problem to clarify it”, he said and added “It is obvious the solution comes out…we are not falling into any political conflict with Delhi”, Bukhari said.
On a question whether he is going to attend the all-party meeting called by Dr Farooq Abdullah on non-local voters’ issue tomorrow, Bukhari said that he has spoken to Dr Farooq Abdullah…”You will let it know tomorrow”, he said.
On the issue, the meeting called by Dr. Farooq Abdullah has almost been settled down by the central government, he added. (UNI)
