Jashn-e-Janoob festival organized at Shopian by Army

Srinagar: Army’s Chinar Corps conducted “Jashn-e-Janoob 2.0” sports festival in the Apple rich township of Shopian which witnessed a huge participation from all south Kashmir districts on Saturday.
The Shopian town bristled with enthusiasm and energy as it bore witness to a spectacular Sports Extravaganza that marked the annual South Kashmir Sports Festival “Jashn-e- Janoob 2.0”.
The sporting event was organized by Chinar Corps at Batpora Stadium and witnessed participation from across all districts of South Kashmir, a defence spokesman said.
For the first time in South Kashmir, Mr. South Kashmir Bodybuilding Competition was held during which the best bodybuilders of South Kashmir compete against each other to earn a place in the finals, which was conducted on the final day of the event.
The Martial Arts display also enthralled the crowd with captivating moments of pure skill, grit and undeniable passion.
Cultural programs and foot tapping music also added to the Entertainment Quotient and enthralled a massive crowd of spectators from various parts of South Kashmir. (UNI)
