13 Naxals nabbed in Chhattisgarh
Bijapur (Chhattisgarh), Mar 11 (UNI) In a clear pointer to the success of counter-insurgency operations within Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division, as many as 13 Maoists were placed under arrest on Friday in this district’s Basaguda Police Station limits. Law-enforcement authorities said that, on observing personnel near Badgicheru nullah, four of the rebels dumped their bags – containing detonators, cordtex (a type of detonating cord), IEDs and digging implements – and unsuccessfully attempted to flee. The ultras were identified as Dodi Guddi, Madwi Bheema, Tati Hunga, Kadti Hidma, Kunjam Joga, Madkam Sukka, Madkam Mangu, Madwi Raju, Kuhrami Ganga, Aanda Madwi, Madwi Joga, Madwi Sukka and Sanni Barse.
