Triton to setup world class EV manufacturing facility with Rs 2100 cr investment in Telangana

Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) A US-based EV Company Triton to construct the world class EV manufacturing facility at NIMZ Zaheerabad, outskirts of the city, with an investment of Rs 2100 crores.

The EV Company on June 24 this year, entered into an MoU with the Telangana Government for the setting up a manufacturing unit for electric vehicles.

On IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao’s insistence, the Triton team led by CEO and Chairman Mr Himanshu Patel and India Development Head Mr Mohammad Mansoor were taken to the NIMZ Zaheerabad in a chopper and the plots were physically inspected, the State IT and Industries department said in a release here on Thursday.

Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) Vice Chairman and Managing Director Narasimha Reddy also accompanied the Triton team during the site visit.

Land-related procedures will ensure shortly and the EV Company is looking to construct their facility and get products out at the earliest to reduce the carbon footprint in transportation space.
