AAP releases the first list of candidates for 100 Assembly seats in UP

Lucknow, Sep 15 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday released the first list of 100 in-charge/probable candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
State in-charge and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh announced the names of the assembly in-charges after holding a press conference and said that these selected leaders will work to run the party’s campaign successfully and if their work is right, then the party will make them its candidate there.

In this list, an attempt has been made to give bigger representation to backward class by giving them 35 assembly seats. At the same time, 20 Brahmins, 16 Dalits and 5 Muslim leaders have also been given representation in this list of AAP.

Mr Singh said that an attempt has been made to give representation to all the sections in the list. ” People from all walks of life have been included in the list from doctors, engineers, advocates, graduates, post graduates to youth and farmers ” he said.
Prominent are former senior Congress leaders Nadeem Ashraf Jaisi , probable candidates from Lucknow Central, Amit Srivastava from North, Rajiv Bakshi from West, Durgesh Singh from Cantt, Rohit Srivastava from Sarojini Nagar, Baliram Verma from Bakshi Ka Talab and Suraj Kumar from Mohanlalganj were made candidates.
