PM Modi lays foundation stone for Raja Mahendra Pratap State University
Aligarh Muslim University was established as Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875 and was later renamed to its present name in 1920
Aligarh, NewsonRadar Bureau, Sept.15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for establishing a grand Raja Mahendra Pratap State University in Aligarh. The campus will come up near Aligarh Muslim University, land for which was also donated by the late Raja of the state. Land piece of 92 acre has been allocated by the state and yearly budget of Rs. 101 crores. The university will get about 400 colleges affiliated from the nearby districts.
