Delhi: Over 1 crore people receive single dose, 40 lakh get both jabs

New Delhi, Sep 4 (UNI) Over 1 crore people in Delhi have received at least a single dose of Covid-19 vaccine while more than 40.5 lakhs have received both the shots, data from CoWIN portal showed on Saturday.
As per the data, 1,00,40,816 individuals have received at least one shot while 40,54,299 people have been injected with both the doses.
According to the CoWIN, Delhi administered 1,67,810 doses on Saturday.
However, the 18-44 years category is leading the figures with a contribution close to 80 lakh in the national capital’s Covid immunization. CoWIN data states that 79,86,258 individuals of this category have received at least one shot.
Covid-19 immunization drive for the 18-44 age group began on May 1.
Meanwhile, the category above 45 years has received 61,08,857 doses so far in the immunization drive.
North West Delhi is topping the charts among districts in the national capital with the highest Covid-19 vaccination. The district has administered 16,85747 doses so far.
Delhi government’s data shows that the national capital has been administering over 1 lakh doses every day for a week now.
While the city’s vaccine drive is currently moving at a steady pace, the past month has also seen a consistently low daily Covid-19 case load which averaged less than 50 cases each day.
Total 1,414 cases and 28 deaths were reported in the whole August, as per government’s data.
