Anurag Singh Thakur get Jan Ashirwad in BJP towns

Shimla, Aug 20 (UNI) Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting-cum Sports and Youth welfare, Anurag Thakur said that the central government was doing its best to help the suffering mankind and all sorts of help would be provided to the state of Himachal Pradesh in the field of its all-round development.
Talking to reporters today, he said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had love and affection for the people of the state and he considered Himachal Pradesh to be its second home and as such no need to worry on any front.
Thakur who is on a five days Jan Ashirwad yatra program said that after getting the new assignment, he was delayed in coming to Himachal as the monsoon season was going on. During the ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’, he would cover eight districts, four Lok sabha constituencies by travelling a journey of 623 kilometers and address ninety meetings and programmes.
Anurag Thakur said during the Corona period, the government found opportunities in the disaster and worked to make a self-reliant India. He said that India has given 55 crore vaccines free of cost to the people of the country through Make in India programme.
The Centre is fully ready to tackle a possible third wave of COVID-19 and a provision of Rs 23,123 crores has been made for this purpose, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said.
He had a dig at the Congress party and said that how a party forms its government in the center when it would not be able to elect its national president by year 2024. He said that the Congress party was a divided house and would be vanished from the Indian polity after the next Lok Sabha elections.
He said that Shimla, the capital of the state, would be given priority in the field of various types of projects and many sports related projects would be started from here.
Thakur claimed that the town of Dharmshala witnessed sudden increase in the footfall of sports lovers and Tourists after the starting of Cricket competitions there after the construction of huge Dhauladhar stadium there. Today over five lakh people visit the town as it showcases the world class sports stadium.
He said that all the Indian Players who won medals in Tokyo Olympics would visit state sports academy at Sundernagar and Bilaspur to train or for motivation of budding sportsmen of the state,
He said that we had changed and upgraded the sports and school curriculum by linking it with sports policy so that new coaches and sports guides and PT teachers could be posted and appointed in the country to promote the sporting skills among the students.
Replying to a question, he said that it was not necessary that every sportsman become members and president of sports federation and association he said that people who are good administrators could effectively run such sports bodies they may not be successful sports persons.
He said, “I became the president of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association at age of 26 yrs and thereafter became the BCCI chief and run the BCCI in an efficient manner”
