Apparently, Khirsu is an offbeat destination, offering delightful views of the famous Trishul, Nanda Devi, Nandkot, and Panchuli peaks. It is situated about 20 km from Pauri and 30 km from Srinagar in Uttarakhand. From Delhi, Khirsu is 365 km away.

A visit to Khirsu is worthwhile for nature walkers, bird watchers, and hikers. The Chowbatta trek is famous in the region; it ushers trekkers through a dense cover of walnut, deodar, silver, and oak forests. Camping in the jungles is also a good way to spend time in the woods of Khirsu. There are ancient temples in the area that can be visited. Chaukhambha viewpoint is a wonderful site for watching the spectacular valley.

In Khirsu, there are no restaurants but thankfully roadside dhabas serving local cuisine. The locals are friendly, and if you manage to bond with them a bit, they may offer you an invitation to dine at their home.

There is an MVN tourist rest house in Khirsu. They cook food for the guests on request which is fairly good. Another option is to stay at Pauri, which is 20 km away.
