Multiple Roads to Remain Closed in Chandigarh and Panchkula for 2 Days

Panchkula: Due to the oath-taking ceremony on October 17 in Panchkula, several roads in the city will remain closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to heavy VVIP movement. Chandigarh Police has issued a traffic advisory, urging residents to plan their travel accordingly. Key roads such as the South route from Airport Light Point to Tribune Chowk, East route from Tribune Chowk to Transport Light Point, and Middle route from Transport Light Point to Dhillon Barrier will be restricted or diverted. The restrictions will be in effect from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Commuters are advised to avoid these areas and use alternative routes.

Road Closures Due to VVIP Movement:
On Wednesday and Thursday, key roads in Chandigarh and Panchkula will be closed for VVIP movements during the oath-taking ceremony. Routes such as the South, East, and Middle routes will have diversions or restrictions for two time periods during the day.

Avoid Affected Routes from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM:
Major road closures will occur from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Commuters are urged to take alternative routes to avoid delays and congestion during these times.
