Players’ Global T20 League NOC requests are denied by PCB.
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board denied No Objection Certificate petitions from experienced players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi for the Global T20 League due to the busy international schedule.
Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, and others requested NOCs for Global T20 from the PCB.
The board said it declined the three players’ requests after consulting with the three players and the national selection committee and considering Pakistan’s busy cricket calendar from August 2024 to March 2025, which includes nine ICC World Test Championship matches and next year’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The Canadian league runs July 25–August 11.
The PCB said the decision was made to manage the three players’ workload, who will play a lot of cricket in the coming months.
