1919 – Ustad Allah Rakha, popular Tabla player and classical musician.

1936 – Zubin Mehta, famous India music conductor., practised Western classical orchestra. His father Mehil Mehta  was the founder of the Bombay Symphony Orchestra, and son received his early musical education from his father. He was awarded Padam Bhushan and Padam Vibhushan. 1980 – Alfred Hitchcock, English film director.

2020 – Irfan Khan, Bollywood actor. Done films like  Life of Pi, Angrezi Medium,  Hindi Medium, Jurassic World, Maqbool, Slumdog Millionaire, The Lunch Box etc. Awarded Padam Shri, 5 Filmfare, IIFa and National Award. He died of cancer in 2020.
