‘Hath Se Hath Jodo Yatra’ results in ugly fights in Rani’s turf

Shimla/Mandi: Rani Pratibha Singh’s ‘Hath se Hath Jodo Yatra’ witnessed ugly scenes as two factions of Congress came to blows on Saturday at Seraj in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.
Report arriving here said that after two months of formation of new Congress government in the state infighting hardly came to end. Pratibha Singh has to face massive anger at Dharotdhar on Saturday when Seraj Party leader Vijay Pal Singh along with his supporters joined the yatra.
Party factions led by candidate (Assembly Election) Chetram Thakur started shouting slogans of Go Back to Vijay Pal Singh. The yatra witnessed a tense atmosphere for some time in the program in front of the State President.
Amid the protest Vijaypal Singh had to leave the venue. Vijaypal Singh who is reported close to party president Pratibha Singh stated that he was invited to join yatra and pleaded by party state chief to leave the venue to avoid further rifts.
Thakur Chetram party candidate of Assembly Election stated in the meeting that faction lead by Vijay Pal singh should not invite in the event as they have been fully involved in anti-party activities during the elections.
Justifing the anger of his faction Chet Ram Thakur said that those who have been expelled from the party by the party high command should not be part of campaign snd it was natural that party workers should oppose such people in the interest of the party. (UNI)
