MVA expects 40 MPs after SC judgement on Shinde Govt: Tapase

Mumbai: NCP state chief spokesperson Mahesh Tapase on Friday claimed that the Mahavikas Aghadi will win 40 seats once the Supreme Court gives its verdict on the validity of the Shinde-Fadnavis government.
The ‘India Today, C voter, Mood of the Nation’ survey has predicted that the MVA will bag 34 of the 48 Lok Sabha seats if the election was held now.
Tapase said there are many issues in Maharashtra that the Shinde-Fadnavis dispensation failed to address. The people of Maharashtra are now tired of the same speeches of chief minister Shinde trying to justify his coup time and again.
he said the recent survey has captured the mood of the Maharashtra electorate and predicted the election will not only elect the highest number of MPs for the MVA but will also catapult the combine back to power in the state.
“And once the Supreme Court verdict comes through, the number of MVA MPs in the election will go up to 40,” Tapase said.
Despite continuous criticism by the BJP, Uddhav Thackeray’s performance as the Chief Minister of Maha Vikas Aghadi government was appreciated by the whole country and he could make it to the list of top five Chief Ministers.
“Where is Maharashtra now and why CM Shinde does not figure in the list of top five CMS?” he asked.
The BJP which is banking heavily on Shinde will be in for major embarrassment in the general elections, he added.
He also advised Prakash Ambedkar, a new ally of Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, to desist from making any remarks against MVA allies and their leaders.
The NCP will appreciate it if Ambedkar trained his guns on the BJP-Shinde Government and helped the UPA in the Lok Sabha.
