Jammu & Kashmir tableau showcases pilgrim and recreational tourism potential

New Delhi: The 74th Republic Day function on Kartavya Path today had many innovative tableaus on .to showcase India’s unity, cultural diversity and confluence of cultural tradition and scientific orientation.
The tableau’s forefront displayed a diorama of a girl dressed in Kutchi traditional costume the Sun and wind. Kutch shall adorn a new identity in future with world’s largest solar and wind powered ‘Hybrid Renewable Energy Park’ taking shape here.
In the critical crisis of climate change, Gujarat shall lead the country towards a new direction of clean-green-renewable energy by generating solar energy from canal rooftops and farmers irrigating using solar pumps from PM Kusum.

The tableau of Jammu & Kashmir with its theme “Naya Jammu & Kashmir” on Thursday showcased the pilgrim and recreational tourism potential of J&K at the Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path here.
Tourism in J&K has achieved a boost during recent years and registered a record tourist footfall of 1.62 crore for the first time in the history of 75 years of Independent India.
The hilly regions have varied fauna and are home to the once endangered Kashmiri Stag, locally called Hangul, the common leopard and newly declared UT bird Kalij Pheasant.
The tractor portion of the tableau showcased sculptures of a Leopard, Kashmiri Stags and Kalij pheasant in the wild setting. The trolley portion showcased tulip gardens, lavender cultivation and women working on a Lavender farm.
The mud houses being promoted to offer eco-friendly living for tourists was displayed in the center. (UNI)
