Dhiman sworn-in as Chief Information Commissioner by Guv RV Arlekar

Prabodh Saxena is the new Chief Secretary

Shimla: Former Chief Secretary of the State R.D. Dhiman took oath of office as State Chief Information Commissioner in the presence of Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar in an impressive ceremony held at Raj Bhawan Sunday.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was also present on the occasion.
Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena conducted the proceedings of the ceremony.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Chairman of Human Rights Commission P.S. Rana, Himachal Pradesh Lokayukta C.B. Barowalia, MLAs, Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of Commissions, senior officers of the State Government and family members of R.D. Dhiman were also present among others on the occasion.

Himachal Pradesh government in midnight move elevated 1990 batch IAS & Additional Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena as new Chief Secretary in place of incumbent R D Dhiman who retired on Saturday.
A notification issued late night confirmed the new appointment of the top bureaucracy in major shuffle in the state administration by a month-old Congress government.
The decision was unexpected as it ignored almost five senior IAS officers who are posted as Principal Advisors directly report to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Prabodh Saxena was earlier posted as Additional Chief Secretary finance and planning.
His name also figured in INX Media case in which Congress leader P Chidambaram is main accused, by the central agency CBI. (UNI)
