1909 – Bird banding society founded. (Bird ringing or bird banding is the attachment of a small, individually numbered metal or plastic tag to the leg or wing of a wild bird to enable individual identification).

1931 – The invention of coaxial cable was issued a U.S. patent for the first time in the U.S., described as a “concentric conducting system”.

1952 – 1st TV acknowledgement of pregnancy (I Love Lucy).
