Anti-Conversion laws need to be implemented strictly: Dattatreya Hosabale

Prayagraj: Sarkaryavah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dattatreya Hosabale on Wednesday said that population imbalance was one of the major topics discussed in the meeting of the Akhil Bhartiya Karyakari Mandal of the Sangh.
Addressing a meeting after the meeting concluded, Dattatreya said that population imbalance has been created due to conspiracy of religious conversion by any means. He said that infiltration is the second reason behind population imbalance.
He said that population imbalance has also been witnessed due to infiltration in Purnia, Katihar and other districts in North Bihar due to infiltration through Bihar route. He said that laws to check conversion have been framed, but they need to be implemented strictly.
The RSS functionary said that though the Sangh is trying to create awareness regarding it due to which good results have been achieved regarding ‘Ghar Vapasi’. He said that the number of Hindus is declining due to conversion.
He said that conspiracy of conversion is going on in different parts of the country. He said that infiltration is also taking place in some border areas.
The Sarkaryavah said that population imbalance had led to partition in many countries. He said that even in India partition took place due to population imbalance. On the facility of reservation to the people of Scheduled Caste, Dattatreya said that the RSS had already said that those who convert should not get the benefit of reservation.
He said that to decide the matter the government has set up a committee headed by former Chief Justice of India Justice Balakrishnan and it will submit its report after studying the matter.
Dattatreya said that during the four-day meeting, discussions on increasing the participation of women in various activities in the Hindu society were also held. He said that women are coming forward in every sphere of society and their participation in decision making in social work should also increase. He said that the country will progress only when women’s participation is ensured in every field.
Dattatreya said that the population explosion in the country is also a matter of concern therefore, considering this subject in totality and inclusively, a population policy should be framed and should be made applicable to all. He said that the resources in the country are limited and there is a need for public awareness and management in the country on this. (UNI)
