PM Modi dedicates Shri Mahakal Lok corridor

Prime Minister Modi’s address in the holy city Ujjain; during his speech the visiting emphasizes on reviving India’s spiritual, cultural and Puranic heritage.

Ujjain (MP): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday dedicated to the nation the maiden phase of Shri Mahakal Lok, which is nothing short of a wonderful confluence of spirituality and technology created on the world-renowned Mahakaleshwar shrine premises in this ancient holy city.
By simply pressing a button on a remote, the visiting dignitary unveiled an eye-catching shivling made using rakshasutra and situated at the imposing Nandi Dwar that serves as the entrance to the approximately 900-m-long grand Mahakal Lok. Amidst chanting of Vedic mantras, Mr. Modi walked for a short while flanked by Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. During the period, Mr. Chouhan was observed apprising the Prime Minister regarding various aspects of the Lok.
The Prime Minister approached the Tripurasar Sanhar scene, Saptrishi Mandal, Navgrah and Rudrasagar. Subsequently, he boarded an electronic vehicle.
One highlight of the Lok is depiction of several stories from the Shiva Purana. As many as 108 pillars disseminate information regarding the Shiva Tandava through the medium of carvings and murals. The Lok will be opened for devotees from Wednesday. (UNI)
