BJP arm-twisting EC in Jharkhand: Dr Chinta Mohan
Tirupati: Former Union Minister and Congress Working Committee Special (CWC) Invitee Dr Chinta Mohan accused Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) of influencing the ECI to act against a Tribal Chief Minister in Jharkhand while blind to, similar charges on YSRCP leadership in Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the Congress leader said BJP which ‘exploited all central agencies’ is now also ‘utilising the Election Commission for its motivated political ends’.
Entire YSRCP party leaders defrauded government revenue of sand mines, bauxite, manganese ores, but the BJP government is blind towards them, he alleged.
He said the fissures in BJP had surfaced as Nitin Gadkari with support of 250 MPs has been removed from BJP parliamentary board and leaders like Rajanath Singh and Venkaiah Naidu were being sidelined by the Modi led clique in the ruling party.
Dr Chinta Mohan also slammed Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman for publicizing the absence of Modi photo in fair Price shops.
Indira Gandhi had introduced Fair Price shops in the country but none of them carried her portraits, he added.
He said Rahul Gandhi padayatra would bring congress to past glory and soon a charismatic congress leader would be made the new president of the party.
He said money power in politics which began in Pulivendula with YSR has now spread like a virus in AP and also to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. (UNI)
