Nana Patole: Sena should have discussed with Congress regarding LOP

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Thursday said that the Shiv Sena should have discussed with Congress about the post of Leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Council.
Talking to reporters here Mr. Patole said that, in order to keep the Bhartiya Janata Party out of power in 2019, Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP governments were formed in the state on the basis of at least the same program.
Although the balance of power in the state has changed, the Shiv Sena should have discussed with the Congress party about the post of Leader of the Opposition in the Vidhan Parishad as it was part of the MVA.
The Shiv Sena did not discuss with the Congress while deciding the leader of the opposition.
Mr. Patole said that there is a need to sit together and discuss this.
It may be noted that Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray recommend name of MLC Ambadas Danve for the post of opposition leader in state council without consulting alliance partners. (UNI)
