MOS Jitendra to release Science magazine in Dogri

Jammu: The Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh on Sunday will release the popular monthly magazine ‘Vigyan Jattara’ in Dogri here on Sunday under the Vigyan Bhasha program of Vigyan Prasar.
The program shall be held at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium at University of Jammu.
The function is being organized by Vigyan Prasar in collaboration with the University of Jammu and Central University of Jammu.
The Jammu University spokesman said that the thought behind the language-specific magazine of popular Science in Indian Languages is to inculcate scientific temper right from the childhood and thus it has been observed that children have a better understanding of Science and Mathematics if these are taught in their mother language.
It is noteworthy to mention that schooling in the mother tongue is vital for grasping knowledge related to science and technology.(UNI)
