Gov. will provide better facilities to Mahila Mandals: Trilok Kapoor
Palampur: Wool Federation President Trilok Kapoor on Wednesday said that the state government is providing top priority to the welfare and upliftment of women in the state. He said that better facilities will be provided to Mahila Mandals.
Wool Federation President, in his public address organized in honor of Mahila Mandals in the auditorium of Chaudhary Saravan Kumar Agricultural University, Palampur, said that the financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana was increased from Rs 31000 to Rs 51000 and similarly, financial assistance has been increased to Rs 21000 under Beti Hai Anmol Yojana. He said that last year, 30,851 girls benefited by spending more than Rs 9 crore.
He said that 2633 girls have benefited in the current financial year. He said that the state government has also decided to provide an additional Rs 25000 revolving fund to self -help groups as top ups. He said that so far, 6626 beneficiaries have benefited by spending more than Rs 17 crore under Mukhyamantri Shagun Yojana.
He said that during the tenure of the present state government, an increase in honorarium of ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, mini Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi assistants and mid-day meal workers has been ensured so that thousands of important workers who discharge their duties at the ground level can be ensured of better financial support.
On this occasion, instruments and 100 each cedar plants were also distributed to 350 Mahila Mandals of Palampur assembly segment.
Trilok Kapoor, president of Wool Federation, also released a book based on the welfare schemes run by the Central and State Government. (UNI)
