Russia targets Ukraine’s Mykolaiv city as conflict approaches 200 days

Kyiv: Ukraine’s Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych on Tuesday said that the number of missiles being fired at the city on a daily basis exceeds what its air defenses can deal with.
CNN quoted Sienkevych as saying that “for several weeks, the city has been shelled every morning.”
“Therefore, it is better to leave the city to save (lives),” he added.
Recently, Russia resorted to using S-300 missiles against the southern city.
Meanwhile, the death toll from a Russian cruise missile strike on Vinnystia last Thursday has increased to 25.
On Tuesday, Serhii Borzov, head of the Vinnytsia region military administration, said: “Unfortunately, this night Natalia Falshtynska, a neurologist, who worked at the ‘Neuromed’ clinic, which was in the epicenter of the explosion, has died.
“Eight of them are severely wounded, including a 20-year-old girl in critical condition, who has burns in 98 per cent of her body. Four patients with severe burns were transported to the Lviv burn center clinic.”
Meanwhile, dismissed Ukrainian Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova called for unity during her farewell address to the parliament.
She said, “Did the President have (the right) to make such a submission? Yes, the President had the right to make such a decision. Therefore, I believe that today a soldier in a trench should not think about power and what is happening in power. We must be united like never before.” (UNI)
