BJP National Executive: PM to stay in Hyderabad for 3 days

CS Somesh Kumar reviews security and other arrangements in city

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Thursday reviewed the arrangements made for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city.
Somesh, who conducted a meeting with police and other senior officials at BRKR Bhavan here, informed that the Prime Minister will be in Hyderabad for three days to attend the National Executive Committee meeting of BJP.
He will reach Hyderabad on July 2 and leave on the morning of June 4.
Apart from the Prime Minister, all Union Ministers, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of all BJP-ruled states and national level leaders will be in the city for the National Executive Committee meeting.
The Chief Secretary directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements to facilitate the Prime Minister’s visit.
He said adequate security arrangements should be put in place during the VVIPs visit.
A smooth flow of traffic movement should be made, so as to ensure that the ordinary public is not put to any inconvenience.
He asked all the officials to work in close coordination and with utmost precaution.
Barricading, lighting and all other measures at Parade Ground, the venue of the public meeting, should be scrupulously adhered to, as per the rule book, he added.
DGP M Mahender Reddy, Special Chief Secretary (Energy) Sunil Sharma, Special Chief Secretary (MA and UD) Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary (Home) Ravi Gupta, GAD Secretary Sheshadri, Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh, Secretary to the Governor Surendra Mohan, Fire Service DG Sanjay Kumar Jain and other officials attended the meeting.
