France: Salah Abdeslam found guilty of terrorism and murder

Paris: Judges in France gave verdicts on 20 men accused in the November 2015 Paris terrorist attacks on Wednesday.
The jihadi terrorist attack saw targeting of the national sports stadium, bars and the Bataclan concert hall, in all the incident had left 130 people dead.
All the accused were found guilty, while the prime accused Salah Abdeslam was sentenced to life in jail. He is the only survivor of the 10-man militant group that carried out the Paris attacks. Abdeslam, who was found guilty of terrorism and murder has been sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole, this is the severest punishment under French law.
These verdicts put a close to more than nine months of hearings and a six-year transnational investigation.
Others who were sentenced include:
Ahmed Dahmani: 30 years in jail, with a minimum of two-thirds behind bars
Yassine Atar: 8 years in jail with a minimum of two-thirds
behind bars
Muhammad Usman and Adel Haddadi: 18 years in jail with a minimum of two-thirds behind bars
Hamza Attou: 4 years in jail, 2 of them suspended
Abdellah Chouaa: 4 years in jail, 3 of them suspended
Mohammed Amir: 8 years in jail
Ali Oulkadi: 5 years in jail, 3 of them suspended
Mohamed Abrini: life in jail with a minimum 22 years behind bars
Mohamed Bakkali, Osama Krayem and Sofien Ayari: 30 years in jail, with a minimum of two-thirds behind bars
Ali El Haddad Asufi: 10 years in jail, with a minimum of two-thirds behind bars
Farid Kharkhach: 2 years in jail
Following accused who are presumed to be dead too were sentenced
Obeida Aref Dibo, Fabien Clain, Jean-Michel Clain, Ahmad Alkhald, and Usama Attar : life in jail without parole (UNI)
