Rahul Gandhi questioned by ED for fourth time in National Herald case

He is summoned to appear today 5th time again

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was on Monday questioned for the fourth time by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in connection with the National Herald case.
Congress leaders protested again at Jantar Mantar today, showing solidarity with the former Congress President.
Learning from previous experiences, Delhi Police barricaded several roads leading to the ED office and Congress Headquarters.
They also diverted traffic movement on other routes.
Congress alleged that ED was doing selective leakage of information to certain media houses to malign the image of its leaders, which was illegal.
Meanwhile, all the Block Congress Committees of Delhi held protests in their respective areas against the forceful entry of Delhi Police into the office of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and beating up of Congress leaders and workers, including women, Congress said in a statement here.
This was a gross violation of a political party’s democratic right to express its dissent, when one of its leader was summoned by ED in a frivolous case about National Herald and questioned for long hours, just to harass and torment him, it added.
It said the Block Congress Committees will continue their protests on Tuesday. (UNI)
