Nitish Kumar walks barefoot to Rabri’s home for Iftaar

PATNA, APR 20: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, in a swift political act, walked up to the residence of opposition leader Rabri’s house to attend Iftar party hosted by her. Though Rabri’s house is a few meters from CM’s residence, Mr. Kumar made it barefoot, taking security and onlookers by surprise. Leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly, Tejaswi Yadav discounted the ‘surprise drama’ as non-political, “We had invited leaders from all political parties on the Iftar, including BJP leaders and other important politicians of the state.” Apart from 2 former CMs Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, her two sons and RJD leaders attended the Iftar, on the occasion of Ramadan month. No BJP leader was spotted at the gathering.

Earlier state Industry Minister Shanawaz Hussian offered a Muslim cap to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at an Iftar party at Anjuman Islamia Hall in Patna on Wednesday evening.
