Aurangabad/Mumbai, April 22: The Nationalist Congress Party on Friday alleged that the efforts being made by the representatives of BJP to destabilize the MVA-led government in the state will only make it strong. In a statement issued here, NCP state chief spokesperson Mahesh Tapase said that BJP-supported MP Navneet Rana and MLA Ravi Rana took up the program of reciting Hanuman Chalisa in front of Matoshri, but did not talk about important issues in the state and the country. Is this really the work of people’s representatives, he asked, adding that instead of chanting Hanuman Chalisa, the revival of development should reach the people. Basically, the people’s representatives should provide development work and funds for it in their constituency, said Tapase. However, the BJP-inspired people’s representatives are not interested in the development work of people and more interested in destabilizing the state government and creating religious and ethnic divisions, he alleged. Maharashtra is one of the eight states in the country facing the coal crisis for power generation. The BJP MPs wanted to get extra coal and put pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on inflation, tapase further alleged. He said the Modi government should have asked why they did not plan for coal and rising inflation but unfortunately, the BJP MPs do not seem to be asking the same question. (UNI)
