Mumbai, March 18: Global digital transformation company Mindtree on Friday said it has further expanded its operations in Pune by setting up a new facility to meet the rising demand for its services. The company has inaugurated its second facility in Pune at the International Convention Centre (ICC), after it started operations in the city in 2009 by setting up a facility in Hinjawadi. “On the back of rising global demand for its digital transformation services, the company has grown rapidly in Pune over the last few years and today employs more than 3,700 professionals in the city with more than a third of its workforce consisting of women professionals,” the company said in a statement issued here. The new facility, measuring 43000 sq ft, has the capacity to accommodate 350 professionals, it said. “In the last year alone, despite the pandemic, the company’s Pune headcount has grown by as much as 2.5 times. Mindtree’s Pune center is now the company’s third largest globally in terms of headcount,” the company added. From Pune, Mindtree provides digital transformation services to some of the world’s largest communications, media, technology, retail, CPG, manufacturing, banking, financial services, insurance, travel, transportation, hospitality, and healthcare companies in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
