Australian Army Chief meets three Service Chiefs

New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) Australian Army Chief Lt Gen Richard Maxwell Burr met three Service Chiefs and discussed global situation, Indian Army informed on Wednesday. Army said. The Army said that the interaction between both the Chiefs of the Army Staff was warm and cordial. They exchanged views on the current global situation and the situation in Indo-Pacific in addition to discussing measures for enhancing defence cooperation between both armies, the Army said. Prior to the interactions during the day, the Australian Army Chief laid a wreath at the National War Memorial and received a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the South Block lawns. “The General also addressed the faculty and participants of the prestigious National Defence College and later interacted on regional security perspectives with the Vice Chief of Army Staff and the Director at Centre of Land Warfare (CLAWS) Studies,” the Army added. During the General’s visit to Centre of Land Warfare Studies, an MoU was also signed between Australian Army Research Centre (AARC) and Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS) to establish academic cooperation and engagement.
