Queenstown, Feb 5 (UNI) India ODI captain Mithali Raj on Saturday named Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the leader she looks up to. Mithali had organized a question and answer session on Twitter, asking her followers to put questions. “Quarantine about to end and before I get on the field, let’s have a Q&A with #CricketTwitter Let’s go #AskMithali” she tweeted. When a user asked her “who is the one leader you look up to?”, Mithali replied, “Our hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji”. The Mithali-led team India is in New Zealand for the upcoming five-match ODI series, starting February 12. The 39-year-old also revealed her favourite female and male cricketers. Mithali picked her former teammate and current India chief selector Neetu David, England fast bowler Katherine Brunt, Australia captain Meg Lanning and former batter Karen Rolton among women cricketers. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, former Australia batters Ricky Ponting and Michael Bevan completed her list of favourite men cricketers. When asked whom she would like to play in the 2022 Women’s World Cup final, Mithali said, “All teams are good enough to reach the final. Everyone has worked so hard. It would be unfair to pick one to play in the final against”. The World Cup is scheduled to take place in New Zealand from March 4 to April 3. India will begin their World Cup campaign against the arch-rivals Pakistan on March 6 at the Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui.
