Registration of farmers being done on MFMB portal through mapping

Chandigarh, Dec 22: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister J P Dalal said that mapping work is being done for all the land holdings in the state. The registration of all farmers is being done on Meri Fasal Mera Byora (MFMB) portal.
After getting the complete record of this land, according to the convenience of the farmers, mandis, sales centers etc and other centres will be set up. Help desks are opened in these centres to help the farmers, through which any kind of inconvenience and other complaints are easily redressed, he said while replying to a calling attention motion moved in the winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday.
Mr Dalal said that MFMB is a flagship scheme/programme of the state government in which farmers register themselves to sell their crops on MSP and get other benefits of agriculture and other allied departments. Now this portal has become an umbrella platform for almost all the benefits including MPM (Mera Pani Meri Virasat), Direct Seed Rice, Bajra Replacement and Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana, Uttam Beej (Seed Development) etc.

The main objective of launching the portal was to bring people an online platform where farmers and government can come together and farmers can get timely subsidy/financial assistance or other benefits for growing their crops. The subsidy / financial assistance is directly deposited in the bank account of the farmers through this portal through direct bank, treasury or e-procurement, he said.
The Minister informed that recently Rs 428.07 crore has successfully been transferred under Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana to the accounts of 2.38.245 lakh millet growing farmers through this portal almost without any complaint. In the last three years (from 2019 to 2021-22), payments of a total of Rs 43,307 crore during Rabi season and Rs 34,732 crore during Kharif season for procurememts made at MSP were made through this portal.
He further informed that in order to take advantage of government schemes, different types of farmers – land owners, small farmers, contract farmers, shared farmers, lease farmers, farmers and mixed farmers in relation to land owners – can upload their personal details, land records, crop to register on MFMB portal by giving bank account etc.

Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department is the nodal department for MFMB portal from Kharif 2020 and earlier, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board was the nodal agency to capture and conduct all the activities on this portal. The government has approved the guidelines for this scheme, he said.
He informed that the portal has been developed in such a way that it has taken care of all the existing problems of the farmers especially in the area of procurement. Farmers can now select the nearest Mandis through this portal at the time of procurement at MSP and schedule their arrival. MSP is paid for the sale of their produce.
The portal is farmer user friendly and the language of the portal is Hindi so that the process of a farmer registration can be done easily and properly. One can register himself on the portal from the service centre itself, he said.
