CM Yogi to distribute mobile phones, tablets to one lakh youths on Dec 25

Lucknow, 20 Dec: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will gift mobile phones and tablets to one lakh youths on the occasion of birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25.
According to information received from the CM office the first phase of distribution of free mobile phones and tablets by the CM will start from Lucknow. The program will be held at Bharat Ratn Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ikana stadium with mobile phones and tablets to youths from every district of the state.
It may be mentioned that to technically upgrade the students CM Yogi has announced to provide free mobile phones and tablets to one crore youths. In the first phase the CM will distribute 60,000 mobile phones and 40,000 tablets on December 25.
The government has claimed that this is for the first time that free mobile phones and tablets will be distributed to such a large number of youths. Special Secretary of IT and Electronics department Vinit said that in the first phase priority will be given to students in the last year of MA, BAm BSc, ITI, MBBS, MD, BTech, MTech, Phd, MSME and Skill development and other courses.
He said that so far more than 38 lakh youths have been registered on Digi Shakti Portal and the registration is going on.
