HP: Drone- survey to be conducted for digitization of land records in Hamirpur

Hamirpur (HP), Dec 2(UNI) Pradhan Mantri Swamitva Yojana launched by the Central Government for digitization of land records and granting ownership rights of residential properties to the people living in rural areas is being implemented on a pilot basis in the district Hamirpur, it was reported on Thursday.
Stating this during a meeting on Wednesday evening, Deputy Commissioner, Debasweta Banik said that a drone-based survey would be conducted for the digitization of the land record in the district.
She said that the drone survey of this scheme will probably be started by the end of this month. Therefore, its wide publicity is very important, so that its information can reach all the district residents.
Deputy Commissioner said that the preparations for the implementation of this scheme and survey related have been started with Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, District Panchayat Officers, and Master Trainer Kanungo and Patwaris from across the district participated in this workshop organized by the district administration.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to give wide publicity to the ownership scheme up to the sub-division, tehsil, and panchayat level.
She said that under this scheme, ownership rights would be given in total 1482 Abadi Deh (Populated villages of district Hamirpur located in (Lal lakeer), and property cards would be distributed to the respective owners.
During the workshop, the officers of the Chandigarh office of Survey of India provided much important information related to the drone surveys to the officers and employees.
He apprised them about the technical aspects of pre-flying drone activities such as line marking and determining the boundaries of the population.
Additional District Magistrate Jitendra Sanjata, Executive District Revenue Officer Dr Ashok Pathania, and other officers were also present on the occasion.
