Naga Chaitanya, Samantha announce separation

Hyderabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Young celebrity couple Samantha and Naga Chaitanya Akkineni have separated just four-days before the completion of their fourth wedding anniversary.

This was confirmed by the actors on the social media platform on Saturday.
The pair was engaged in a ceremony in Hyderabad during January 2017.
Samantha got married in Goa as per traditional Hindu customs on October 6, 2017 and then by Christian customs on October 7 2017 and became a member of the Akkineni family.
Since then she has been using her married name, Samantha Akkineni.
Since July 2021, she removed her surname “Akkineni”, which led to speculations of her separation with Naga Chaitanya.
Taking to micro blogging platform twitter, Naga Chaitanya said “To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us.
We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on, he tweeted.
